We are a team of students and early career scholars at the Chair for Early Modern English Literatures, University of Zurich, led by Prof. Dr. Isabel Karremann. Since a formal cooperation was established with the Kunst(Zeug)Haus in 2020, we have been working on bringing the Robinson Library to the attention of a broader public as well as the scientific community. In addition to a series of onsite events such as readings, roundtables, guided tours and workshops, we are proud that this website now offers readers and fans of Defoe’s novel a digital entry point to the Robinson-Library. Presenting information about the collection and some of its highlights, the website will soon also include a searchable online catalogue of textual and visual material.
From 2022 to 2024, additional teaching-related activities at the English Department led by Dr. Anne-Claire Michoux have been supported by the UZH Teaching Fund (ULF).
